The Customer Mania Award 2010 has been awarded to Southern Salads by KFC UKI for… "your incredible service levels over the last 12 months including the difficult weather conditions of Christmas 2010".
The award was handed out by Richard Hicks with the following introduction: "This supplier has avoided all icebergs in their path and ensured no stores romaine undelivered! Be cos of their dedication it gives me great pleasure to award the Customer Mania Award to this little gem of a supplier. Lettuce put our hands together for Southern Salads".
 New Superfoods Salad Launches

Southern Salads are launching a new dynamic Superfoods Salad in March. Health driven ingredients include Edamame Beans, Broccoli, Pomegranate Seeds, Red Chard, Spinach and Butternut. Concept Development Technologist Peter Keeble believes the demand for this salad illustrates the continued move towards healthier eating.
New Fleet of Wheels

Southern Salads has invested in a new fleet of six 44 tonne Mercedes Benz trucks. With advanced engine technology for low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions these vehicles offer more environmentally conscious deliveries to their customers than ever before.
Southern Salads Tests and Trials New Optical Sorter

Southern Salads is underway with tests and trials on the latest Raytec Optical sorter. Individual leaves travel over a moving belt while a computer with state of the art cameras uses light wavelengths to identify colour, density and chlorophyll to decide which leaves to reject. |
